Bailey and Brielle are 15 months old!

On Thursday I took Bailey and Brielle in for their 15 month check-up. They are doing well. Here are their stats:

Bailey: height- 31 & 3/4 in. (75%)
weight- 21 lbs. 2 oz. (25%)
head - 45 cm. (25%)


Brielle: height- 31 & 1/4 in. (75%)
weight- 21 lbs. 11.5 oz. (25%)
head - 45.5 cm. (25%)

I took them to their appointment after we had their pics taken thinking that they would behave better for pictures if we did them first. WRONG! They couldn't hold still for the photographer, but they were all smiles and happy as soon as Dr. Zollo walked in and began the check-up. I'm happy that they behave so well for the Dr. but is that weird?

Father's Day pictures

Last week I took the girls to get their pictures taken for Father's Day. Joe was so happy and loved showing off the pictures at work.

The pictures turned out pretty good despite the fact that the girls were being a little difficult.

Young Women

Let me preface this by saying that my posts are more for journalistic purposes than anything else. These are my thoughts and you are more than welcome to read, but don't feel obliged to do so.

Tonight I had the privilege of spending the evening at girls camp. I love the spirit at camp, and the closeness you feel with everyone. I remember having the same feelings when I was a young woman myself. I also remember looking up to my leaders so much, and it was a weird moment when I realized that I am the one whom my young women look up to (I hope!). I read this quote a while back: "When you save one young woman, you save generations" and I've been thinking about it ever since. It makes me realize that I have the power to teach these girls and be an influence on them and hopefully they will grow up and make the right decisions. I remember my leaders and how they made me feel, and I know they helped me to be who I am today. I hope I can be that leader who helps even one girl become closer to the Savior. And in the process, I hope I can become closer to Him myself.

Sweet moments

This morning, Brielle woke up with a fever and a runny nose. I brought her into the kitchen and told Ambree that she was feeling a little sick, and Ambree said, "Mom, we need to say a prayer so that Briellie will feel better." And she said the sweetest prayer, right there, asking that Brielle would get better.

With all the chaos in my life, I'm so grateful for little moments like these sprinkled throughout.
