The Wedding

My girls have a new uncle! BreAnna and Josh were married on 08/08/08. It was a beautiful day, even though it decided to rain just in time for the ceremony! I took about a hundred pictures so here goes:

Ambree was the flower girl, so my neighbor, Elisha did her hair. It was beautiful.

6.25 AKA 10-K

I have been training to do my first 10-K. After 3 5-K's under my belt, I figured it was time to move forward. I LOVE RUNNING! This must be funny coming from me because my sis ran all through high school and college and I thought she was crazy. Now I understand why she did it. It is amazing. Of course the first month or so was a little painful as my lungs and legs had to get used to it, but I'm glad I stuck it out. Tiff and I ran the 10-K route this morning to feel it out and it was awesome. It was a beautiful morning and we got to see the sun come up and we also saw some beautiful scenery. It's such an amazing feeling of accomplishment when I finish a run. We race on Sept. 1st. Wish me luck!

Santaquin Orchard Days

On August 2nd, we celebrated Santaquin Orchard Days. The parade is the best part because they throw candy to the kids. All the children come with bags in hand to collect as much candy as they can. This year was especially fun because Ambree's dance class got to perform in the parade.

Here are the girls with their bags. Instead of putting the candy into the bags, they put each piece into their mouths, wrappers and all.

So the bags were just used as toys instead.

Here is Ambree's dance class. She the second one from the right. She was sitting back and looking toward the van where her dance teacher was sitting, which makes it very hard to see her.

Cherry Shakin'

I was working the other night, and all of the sudden I felt a little rumble and my computer shook a bit. Earthquake? I thought.
Nope. It was the machinery that shakes the cherries off the trees. For those of you who have never seen this (like me up until I met Joe), it is very interesting. There are two machines and one literally shakes the tree and the other collects the cherries. They go up and down the rows of trees all night doing this. Because we live directly across the street, we were able to hear and feel the shaking all night. It doesn't bother us though, because we are all very sound sleepers. But it is very neat, and I even dragged Joe out of the house, video camera in hand, and recorded the process. Here are some pics, but they aren't very clear:

Dedicated

We have been running around all morning trying to get ready for BreAnna's wedding. I had just given Ambree her lunch and told her that I had to hurry and iron our clothes. She looked at me and said, "Mom, you are so dedicated!"
